Phoenix, Las Vegas and Austin first. Here is the thinking behind where the first pods go.
A POD ON ME pod is a private room that stands outside. It needs a level pad, a power connection and a steady stream of people who, at some point in their day, need a door that closes. That last part matters more than anything else, and it is why our first pods are going to Phoenix, Las Vegas and Austin.
People are outside all year
Our biggest market is outdoor placement at the best addresses: a luxury shopping promenade, a resort courtyard, the plaza of an office campus. Those spots only earn if people are walking past them in every month of the year. In the Sun Belt they are. Nobody has to trudge through snow to reach a pod, and a well-insulated, air-conditioned room is exactly what you want when it is hot outside.
Three different kinds of demand
Phoenix is sprawling and fast-growing, with a huge university, a major airport and a large population of people who work from home and would rather not. Las Vegas has something no other city has at the same scale: a constant flow of convention visitors and business travelers who need a quiet room between sessions. Austin is a tech town whose workforce made remote and hybrid work normal early. Between them, the three cities test every use we have designed for: work, calls, gaming, meetings and the monthly private office.
Close enough to run as one network
Running an unattended fleet means cleaning rounds, restocking water, fixing what breaks and answering support calls. Three cities in the same broad region can share one operations playbook, one set of suppliers and one support team. Every pod is the same standard unit, so a lesson learned in Scottsdale applies in Summerlin and at The Domain the next day.
What comes next
Once the first pods prove out, the plan is simple: more Sun Belt cities, then the rest of the US, then Canada, where the pods themselves come from. The product does not change from city to city.
